Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan boost partnership in technology sector

From analytical AI services to platforms for marketplaces, business, and legal services - Astana Hub hosted the Demo Day as part of the Market Entry Accelerator, a joint initiative between Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan aimed at advancing a unified digital space in Central Asia. During the event, participants from the neighboring country showcased their products. Over two months, ten Uzbek startups tested their solutions in the Kazakh market, adapted their digital products, and made their first sales. According to Astana Hub representatives, Kazakh teams are now undergoing the same program in Uzbekistan. The initiative not only creates opportunities for scaling projects but also strengthens technological collaboration across the region.

«By mutual agreement, we decided to implement a Market Entry program for startups from Uzbekistan, allowing them to enter, test, and adapt their products to Kazakhstan’s market. Likewise, the IT Park Uzbekistan has welcomed 10 Kazakh startup projects, which are now undergoing testing and exploring the neighboring country’s market. In addition to Uzbekistan, we also run programs that support the development of startups in the Kyrgyz Republic, Tajikistan, Mongolia, and Azerbaijan,» said Yerbol Akhmetov, Director of the Business Programs Office at the Astana Hub.

One of the key participants at Demo Day was Tuzuk, a legal AI-powered platform. In a short time, it has become a prominent player in the Uzbek market, serving thousands of lawyers and companies. Moreover, the platform’s universal algorithm allows the solution to be scaled to any country. The team has already integrated Kazakhstan’s legal framework into the system. This will enable the platform to operate across multiple Central Asian jurisdictions simultaneously in the future.

«The value of the legal services market in Uzbekistan is nearly $100 million, while in Kazakhstan it is 2.5 times larger. Therefore, compared to other countries, Kazakhstan is certainly considered very attractive for Legal Tech. Our vision is to cover the entire Central Asian market and then expand beyond it. Kazakhstan’s closest neighbors - Russia and Azerbaijan - are the next most accessible markets for entrynoted Askar Djumanov, PhD, founder of Tuzuk AI.
