The Alem.Cloud platform has been launched in Kazakhstan. It will
allow users to submit applications to access the national supercomputer
cluster. Government agencies, researchers from scientific institutes and
universities, startup developers, including
participants of the Astana Hub, will be able to use the supercomputer’s resources. The Ministry of Artificial Intelligence and Digital
Development has developed rules for using the supercomputer. Thus, its computing and analytical capabilities are intended
primarily for the development of strategically important projects aligned with national AI development tasks. These include projects in public administration, as
well as developments in education and healthcare, agriculture, the oil and gas
industry, geology, and robotics. Alem.Cloud may
also be used for proposals in the mining and metallurgical complex, energy, transportation, and industry. Notably, Kazakhstan’s supercomputer is listed among the TOP-500
most powerful systems in the world and is the largest computing center in the
region.
