Kazakhstan has begun implementing measures as part of the Year of
Digitalization and Artificial Intelligence. According to the relevant ministry,
this initiative is a part of the instructions of President Kassym-Jomart
Tokayev. The comprehensive plan approved by the Prime Minister includes 100 key
measures across eight priority areas – from human capital development to
building a new digital economy. A central strategic document is the development
of the Digital Qazaqstan Strategy, along with a package of legislative and tax
initiatives to support domestic IT companies. Particular focus is on scaling up the AI-SANA initiative, under which at least 450,000
schoolchildren, students, and teachers will acquire AI skills. It is expected
that the quality of digital services, including those provided through the
e-government portal, will improve by at least 75%.
«The introduction
of artificial intelligence technologies into the e-government system will
enhance the quality of public service delivery to citizens. It will also
streamline the work of civil servants by reducing bureaucracy. AI technologies
have already been integrated into the eGov.kz portal and the eGov Mobile
application. Soon, powered by the resources of the Alem.Cloud supercomputer,
the Alem GPT platform will be launched to simplify and accelerate interaction
between citizens and the government,» said Assem Issabekova, the Head of External Communications at NITEC.
