Kazakhstan completes large-scale preparations for referendum

Kazakhstan has completed large-scale preparations for its nationwide referendum, according to Nurlan Abdirov, Chairman of the Central Referendum Commission. More than 10,000 polling stations across the country are fully ready. Over 71,000 commission members at various levels have undergone specialized training seminars and testing to reinforce their knowledge. The referendum will be covered by 185 media representatives from 31 countries. In addition, representatives of public associations and non-profit organizations have been accredited to observe the process.

«In this regard, the central and territorial referendum commissions have taken the necessary measures to organize and carry out accreditation work. The submission, review, and registration of accreditation applications were conducted in accordance with established procedures. To date, the corresponding accreditation work has been carried out. A total of 256 organizations have been accredited,» Abdirov said.
