Members of the Kazakh teams that triumphed
at the UAE SWAT
Challenge 2026 were honored at the Akorda residence. President Kassym-Jomart
Tokayev congratulated them, noting that they had demonstrated the unbreakable
spirit of Kazakh warriors to the world and strengthened Kazakhstan’s international
standing. The competition brought together 109 teams from 48 countries, where
Kazakhstan’s special forces delivered outstanding results, with two Kazakh
teams winning gold and silver.
«The state is placing increased emphasis on the
comprehensive modernization and technological re-equipment of the armed and
security forces. Your success at this competition is the result of the
systematic development of Kazakhstan’s security structures and the high moral
and physical fitness of its military personnel. I am confident that your selfless service to our country and your loyalty to your oath will contribute to strengthening Kazakhstan’s defense capability,» Tokayev said.
The Head of State also highlighted the achievement of
the Tomiris women’s team, which became the best among women’s teams at the
tournament. He stressed that special forces personnel and servicemen must
always serve as an example of discipline, military professionalism, and
readiness to take decisive action in defense of the state’s
interests. Tokayev also
reminded that the country stands on the threshold of historic changes, and that
on March 15, citizens
will cast their votes in the national referendum on the new Constitution.
«The draft Basic Law enshrines the immutable spiritual and legal values that strengthen our sovereignty and statehood. The territorial integrity of the Republic of Kazakhstan, sovereignty, independence, as well as the individual, their life, rights, and freedoms, are proclaimed as the highest values. The concept of responsible and creative patriotism is affirmed. The idea of a Just Kazakhstan and the principle of Law and Order have found their rightful place in the new draft Constitution,» Tokayev added.
By
presidential decree, a group of officers
and servicemen who returned victorious from the international competition were
awarded the Order of Aibyn, second class, the medal
for military valor, and the letter of gratitude.
