By the end of 2027, more than 3,000 villages with a
total population exceeding 1 million residents in Kazakhstan will have access
to high-quality communication services. This was reported to President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev by Bagdat Mussin, Chairman of
the Board of Kazakhtelecom. The company currently serves over 1.5 million
households and continues to expand Kazakhstan’s optical network. In addition,
an international project is underway to construct an underwater fiber-optic
communication line between Aktau and Sumgait. The project aims to strengthen
Kazakhstan’s transit potential and establish a digital corridor between Europe
and Asia. As part of another strategic project, a data processing center is
being developed in Ekibastuz. It is expected to attract international
technology companies and enhance the country’s investment appeal.
