Dimash Qudaibergen has been appointed a UN
Global Goodwill Ambassador. The announcement was made during the annual session
of the Council of the International Organization for Migration (IOM). The
appointment highlights the Kazakh artist’s long-standing commitment to supporting
people in crisis situations. In 2024, Qudaibergen was already named an IOM
Regional Goodwill Ambassador. Using his international platform, he has actively
supported the organization’s work by drawing attention to the challenges
migrants face, promoting their integration, and participating in charitable
initiatives.
Last year, during UN Secretary-General
António Guterres’s visit to Kazakhstan, Qudaibergen presented his vision for
promoting humanitarian initiatives through art. Following that meeting, his
cooperation with the IOM expanded, and he undertook several important
activities. During his Stranger world tour — in New York, Mexico City,
Barcelona, London and Berlin — Qudaibergen promoted the ideas of inclusivity
and sustainable development. He noted that the title of Global Goodwill
Ambassador is an incredible honor, which he accepts with great humility and a
strong sense of responsibility.
