AI university to open in Kazakhstan

Kazakhstan will establish a university dedicated to artificial intelligence, Minister of Science and Higher Education Sayasat Nurbek announced. The university will be integrated into the Alem.ai ecosystem and developed in partnership with leading international universities and tech companies. Currently, 95 higher education institutions in the country have introduced AI-related courses, while 30 universities offer 42 programs focused on AI. Additionally, 54% of faculty members have completed professional development courses in artificial intelligence.

«The key objective is to ensure 100% of faculty participate in professional development programs in artificial intelligence and to implement the next phase of the AI-Sana program, reaching 100,000 students. In the third and fourth phases, 1,500 projects will undergo acceleration and be prepared for market launch through Astana HubNurbek said.
