President
Kassym-Jomart Tokayev held a telephone
conversation with Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, who congratulated him on the successful nationwide referendum
on adopting the new Constitution. According to the Prime Minister, the voting
results demonstrated a high level of public support for the President’s
political and socio-economic reforms. The Head of State expressed gratitude to
Sharif for the high assessment of the referendum results. The parties noted the
positive momentum in their bilateral strategic partnership.
French President Emmanuel Macron also congratulated Tokayev on the adoption of the new Constitution, highlighting its historic significance and describing it as a major step toward the country’s further modernization. Tokayev thanked his counterpart for the positive assessment of the referendum. The two leaders expressed their readiness to carry forward joint efforts in the economy, particularly in industry and energy.
President of Israel Isaac Herzog also congratulated the Head of State during a telephone conversation. The leaders discussed the current state and prospects of bilateral cooperation, with a focus on expanding trade, economic, and investment ties. Herzog agreed with Tokayev that all states need peace to implement long-term economic development plans and the need to seek political solutions to international issues. Furthermore, he praised Kazakhstan’s decision to join the Abraham Accords, emphasizing its importance for achieving lasting peace in the Middle East.
