Starting January 1, 2026, Kazakhstan will begin transitioning to a platform-based model of digitalization. The corresponding decree has been signed by President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev. All government agencies and quasi-public sector entities are required to develop digital solutions exclusively on the QazTech platform. This measure is aimed at reducing overlapping functions, simplifying oversight, and optimizing budget expenditures on digital projects. As a result, the state’s entire future digital infrastructure will be built on unified security standards and interoperability.
«These are issues of digital transformation, aimed at
ensuring that the process does not become endless and that all new systems are
finally developed on a single platform. The main goal is to eliminate
duplication and the repeated development of similar systems. It has now been
officially announced that e-government and all government agencies will operate
on the new QazTech platform,» said Shavkat
Sabirov, President of the Internet Association of Kazakhstan.
