Kazakhstan’s foreign trade reaches $144 billion

Last year, Kazakhstan’s foreign trade turnover reached $144 billion, with exports contributing nearly $80 billion. The country’s key trading partners remain China and Russia, which together accounted for nearly 43 percent of the total trade in 2025. Trade relations are also developing with EAEU countries, with total deals exceeding $30 billion. Italy is the largest importer of Kazakh oil, receiving 20 percent of shipments. Overall, Europe remains a key destination for Kazakhstan’s raw material exports. Among the main exported goods are uranium, copper, ferroalloys, and wheat.

«Last year, Kazakhstan’s food exports grew at a record pace. This is one of our competitive advantages. Sunflower oil, flour, chocolate, and other confectionery products were among the main drivers of growth. Currently, exports of finished and processed goods are concentrated in Central Asia, the CIS, Russia, and China,» said financial analyst Yernar Serik.¤
