Kazakh universities form supercomputer cluster

Major supercomputing systems are now operating at Kazakhstan’s leading universities. These high-performance computing capacities are currently available at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University in Almaty and Gumilyov Eurasian National University in Astana. According to Talgat Yeshenkulov, Vice Minister of Science and Higher Education, both universities have implemented intelligent data management systems. In the future, similar computing platforms will be introduced at other universities, enabling advanced modeling, large-scale data analysis, and integration into international research projects.

«All researchers who wish to use the supercomputer for their studies can access it. While supercomputers will likely be installed at other universities in the future, the systems in place today are sufficient to process the data we currently haveYeshenkulov said.
