President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev received Minister of
Internal Affairs Yerzhan Sadenov, who reported on the implementation of the
President’s instructions aimed at ensuring public safety and law and order in Kazakhstan. In the first two months of
the
year,
the overall crime rate in the
country decreased by 8%, while cybercrime fell
by 4%,
largely due to preventive measures and cooperation with foreign law enforcement
agencies. Digital
solutions are being introduced to maintain public order and improve road
safety. Tokayev was also briefed on measures to tighten
migration control and on the implementation of the law on the prevention of offences adopted last
year. The Head of State instructed that efforts to strengthen public safety be
continued.
