Ballot paper for constitutional referendum presented at Central Election Commission

A sample ballot for the nationwide referendum on the draft new Constitution has been presented in Kazakhstan. The document will contain one question: «Do you accept the new Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the draft of which was published in the media on February 12, 2026?» Citizens will be given two response options: «Yes» or «No.» The referendum is scheduled for March 15. The amendments cover 84% of the text of the Basic Law.

«Work is underway with the Ministry of Artificial Intelligence and Digital Development to implement an online service for verifying citizens' registered address data on the e-government portal. The system is currently connected and operational at polling stations across the country, enabling citizens to quickly check and update the necessary information said Chairman of the Kazakh Central Referendum Commission Nurlan Abdirov.

Special attention is being paid to creating conditions for people with disabilities. According to Nurlan Abdirov, the draft Constitution will be available at all polling stations in printed and audio formats. In addition, special Braille templates have been prepared for blind and visually impaired citizens. Each polling station will also have audio instructions on how to fill out ballots.
