The draft new Constitution is aimed at strengthening government accountability to society, as stated by Kazakh Minister of Justice Yerlan Sarsembayev. According to him, the update of the country’s Basic Law is designed to improve public administration by enhancing the transparency of civil servants’ work. Also, mechanisms for protecting citizens’ rights will be reinforced, fostering greater trust between the government and the people.
«Human capital is regarded as a key development priority and serves as the foundation of the draft new Constitution. Therefore, the document can rightfully be called a People’s Constitution,» Kazakh Minister of Justice Yerlan Sarsembayev noted.
