Kazakhstan plans to implement around 200 new manufacturing projects over the next five years within its special economic and industrial zones. Developing infrastructure—such as essential engineering and transport networks—is a crucial factor in enhancing the investment attractiveness of these zones. This was emphasized at a meeting chaired by Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov. Construction of substations and transport networks is currently underway near these zones. According to the Ministry of Industry and Construction, Kazakhstan has 17 special economic zones and 66 industrial zones, where 860 projects have already been implemented, attracting private investments of approximately 6 trillion tenge.
