President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev held a working meeting on the implementation of the new Constitution. He emphasized that significant work lies ahead to bring laws and other regulatory legal acts into line with the Basic Law.
First and foremost, the Head of State highlighted
the
need to adjust laws necessary
to ensure the functioning of all branches of government. Six constitutional
laws, as well as three laws introducing amendments and additions to other
legislative acts, are to be adopted. The President stressed that they must be
passed before the end of the parliamentary session. The
Government has been tasked with ensuring the timely adjustment of subordinate regulatory
legal acts.
