The Kazakh project Silk Way Star was broadcast on China Central
Television (CCTV) for the first time, with the grand finale of the
international vocal competition airing on the CCTV-15 music channel.
Bringing together performers from 12 countries, the project became Asia’s
first international vocal platform of its kind. The competition showcased a
high level of production, live sound, large-scale staging, and modern
television techniques. The broadcast of the Silk Way Star grand finale
on China’s largest media holding marked a significant milestone for
Kazakhstan’s television industry. The platform’s cumulative audience exceeded 1
billion viewers. The music project was realized under an agreement to create an
international format between the Kazakh President’s TV and Radio Complex and
China Media Group (CMG). The finale was broadcast live and aired in several
countries, including Azerbaijan, Georgia, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, and Mongolia.
