Kazakh
President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev held a telephone conversation with Sultan of
Oman Haitham bin Tariq Al Said. The parties discussed the situation in the
Middle East. President Tokayev expressed firm support for Oman and solidarity
with its
brotherly people during
this challenging period. The
Head of State voiced concern over air attacks on civilian
infrastructure facilities in Gulf states that are not involved in the war
against Iran. The
President emphasized that Kazakhstan consistently advocates de-escalation and
calls on all sides to resolve the conflict through diplomatic means. He also
expressed special appreciation for Oman’s assistance in the evacuation of
Kazakh citizens from the region through
Omani
territory. The
Sultan of Oman accepted an invitation to pay a state visit to Kazakhstan later
this year.
