This year, Nauryz in Kazakhstan will be celebrated in
digital format. For the first time in the country, events dedicated to the main
spring holiday will make use of innovative technologies.
This is an AI avatar, Nauryzai. There is also a male version - Nauryzbai. Such
interactive stands featuring smart assistants will be set up in the main
squares of Astana, offering residents and visitors information about the
holiday’s history and traditions in two languages.
«AI avatars will guide residents on the event programs, the cultural aspects of Nauryz celebrations, and the traditions and culture of the Kazakh people. The project will be implemented at six main venues across the city, with the first one at Ataturk Park on March 14,» noted Alisher Batyrbekov, Head of the Strategic Development and Innovation Department, Astana Innovations.
To ensure that residents do not miss any of the festive events, a special digital system has been developed. It allows users to track where the festivities are taking place. More than 200 events will be held as part of the Nauryznama festive decade in the Kazakh capital. Digital Nauryz celebrations will also take place in other cities across the country. It is worth reminding that Kazakh citizens will begin celebrating the holiday on March 14, starting with Korisu kuni (Day of Greetings).
«Every resident will be able to attend festive events in
their city, see humanoid robots, and experience the use of virtual reality
technologies. For example, in Almaty, baursaks will be delivered by drones,» said Aliya Ospanova, Executive
Director of the Digital Government Support Center.
