Kazakhstan sets course for new innovative economic model

Kazakhstan is transitioning to a new model of economic development based on knowledge and innovation. The priority of science, education, and technology is enshrined in the draft new Constitution. According to the Minister of Science and Higher Education, this creates a foundation for sustainable growth and increased national competitiveness. Human capital and the development of scientific potential are expected to play a key role in this process. According to Sayasat Nurbek, this approach will not only make the economy more resilient but also strengthen the country’s position in global competition.

«Today, the key resource is no longer infrastructure or natural resources, but people – their intellect, their ability to innovate, and their intellectual capital. This reflects a high level of trust in our sector. We are confident it will provide a strong boost. Our goal is to transition to a new innovation-driven economic model based on the Constitution,» Nurbek said.
