Kazakhstan is actively preparing for the upcoming referendum on the adoption of the new Constitution. In the Turkistan region, 948 polling stations have been established and fully equipped, with facilities also provided for people with special needs. The openness and transparency of the voting process will be overseen by 17 territorial commissions. On March 15, more than 1.2 million residents of the region will be able to cast their vote on the new Constitution.
«To date, all commissions in our region have commenced
full operations. On February 22, they received the voter lists. Active work is
underway at all precinct referendum commissions, with staff members on duty.
Residents of the region can now review the voter lists,» said Kuandyk Kulazhanov, member of the regional territorial referendum commission in the Turkistan region.
