Now Kazakh citizens can visit Israel without a visa. The corresponding memorandum was signed in Astana during talks between the foreign ministers of the two countries. Notably, Israel’s Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar arrived in the Kazakh capital on an official visit. Yermek Kosherbayev discussed issues related to expanding trade and economic cooperation with his counterpart. From January to November 2025, trade turnover between the two countries amounted to $162 million. Over the past 20 years, Israel has invested around $500 million in Kazakhstan’s economy. It is also worth noting that about 30 people arrived as part of the Israeli delegation.
«As for the prospects of political cooperation, a visit by President of Israel Isaac Herzog to Kazakhstan is planned for this year. During the meeting, special attention was paid to increasing bilateral trade and developing investment cooperation,» Yermek Kosherbayev noted.
«We also want to increase our economic
partnership across many fields. We want to invest in the President’s vision and
to share our experience with Kazakhstan. Key
fields that we want to increase our partnership in are water, innovation, and
food security,» Gideon
Sa’ar said.
