Kazakhstan, Asian Development Bank plan to strengthen partnership

Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev met with President of the Asian Development Bank (ADB) Masato Kanda. The Head of State emphasized that over the past 30 years of cooperation, the ADB has supported more than 170 projects worth over $7 billion in Kazakhstan, focusing on infrastructure modernization and economic strengthening. He noted that in the coming years, a number of major projects will be implemented in key sectors of the economy. For his part, Masato Kanda stated that expanding cooperation with Kazakhstan is a priority for the ADB. The bank intends to participate in financing projects in housing construction, emergency management, and other strategically important sectors. He also highlighted Kazakhstan’s achievements in digital technologies and its potential in the development of critical minerals.
