The official welcoming ceremony for President
Kassym-Jomart Tokayev took place at the residence of the Prime Minister of
Pakistan, Shehbaz Sharif. Following a joint photo session, the national anthems
of Kazakhstan and Pakistan were played, and the Head of the Guard of Honor gave
a welcoming report. Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and Shehbaz Sharif introduced members
of their official delegations and held bilateral talks. The interlocutors
noted the dynamic development of multifaceted cooperation between Kazakhstan
and Pakistan in recent years and discussed prospects for further strengthening
their partnership. Particular attention was paid to expanding collaboration in
trade, transport and logistics, energy, agriculture, digitalization, and space. Kassym-Jomart
Tokayev and Shehbaz Sharif also exchanged views on topical issues of the regional and international agenda.
