Kazakh President meets with active youth after referendum

President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev met with representatives of youth organizations who actively participated in the information campaign for the nationwide referendum. Over the course of a month, young activists organized about 5,000 events involving more than 1.5 million citizens. The President expressed his gratitude and noted that the new Constitution is focused on the country’s future, particularly its youth. The Head of State also emphasized that the Basic Law now includes such important concepts as volunteering, science, innovation, and artificial intelligence.


«Undoubtedly, this day will forever be recorded in the history of our nation. From now on, March 15 will be celebrated as Constitution Day, honoring the fundamental document of our state. Having studied the constitutions of many countries, I can confidently say that our Basic Law ranks among the most progressive in the world,» President Tokayev noted.


Kassym-Jomart Tokayev reviews exit poll results


The President then reviewed the results of the exit poll conducted during the nationwide referendum and delivered a statement. Kassym-Jomart Tokayev highly praised the referendum, describing it as open and fair, and fully in accordance with democratic standards. According to the Head of State, citing assessments by domestic and international observers, all legal requirements were strictly followed, confirming the legitimacy of the vote.
