Kazakh President instructs to improve employment quality

President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has instructed Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the Population Askarbek Yertayev to enhance the quality of employment, improve the pension system, and develop inclusive approaches to social protection. Today, the Head of State was briefed on the ministry’s key priorities for 2026. Plans include shifting from temporary employment toward creating sustainable, high-quality jobs, boosting labor mobility, and strengthening the alignment between the education system and labor market needs. In addition, under the 2030 Migration Policy Concept, measures are planned to enhance the management and predictability of migration processes, as well as to ensure a balanced approach to internal migration.
