President Kassym-Jomart
Tokayev held a meeting with Kazakhstan’s sumo wrestler Yersin Baltagul and congratulated him on attaining the high rank of
maegashira in 2025, as well as on receiving the special Kanto-shō prize. The President noted that the number
of young compatriots successfully representing the country abroad is growing.
According to him, the state pays special attention to supporting talent and
creating conditions for sports development. The
Head of State awarded the
sumo
wrestler Barys Order 2nd
class
for outstanding sporting achievements and wished him further success at
international competitions.
