Members of the National Coalition discussed the key provisions of the draft new Constitution and the significance of the upcoming nationwide referendum with residents of the Ulytau region. The delegation was led by Kazakh Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Culture and Information, Aida Balayeva. She noted that in the modern world, human capital is the main factor of competitiveness for any country. Therefore, the new Basic Law places special emphasis on supporting science and education. Preserving national identity, promoting family values, and ensuring the safety of children are also among the priorities. The draft Constitution is aimed at strengthening fundamental democratic principles, Balayeva emphasized. In particular, the document provides for the protection of the rights and freedoms of every citizen.
«The draft new Constitution places great emphasis on
strengthening the institution of the family, protecting children’s rights and
safety, and maintaining social harmony and stability. The Council of Mothers
sees promoting these constitutional principles as its primary mission,» said Gulbanu Seitzhanova, Chair of the Ulytau Regional
Mothers’ Council.
