Digitalization can boost Kazakhstan-Armenia cooperation

Negotiations between Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, held at the end of last week, mark a new stage of cooperation between the two countries, analysts say. Last year, trade turnover between the countries exceeded $80 million. However, as Alisher Abdreshev, an expert at the Kazakhstan Institute for Strategic Studies, emphasizes, the potential for growth remains significantly higher. Kazakhstan is ready to increase supplies to Armenia, and technological projects and digital solutions may become the driving force that strengthens cooperation between Astana and Yerevan.

«The topic of AI is particularly relevant. Kazakhstan has been placing significant emphasis on this area recently. I believe the Armenian side would also be interested in establishing cooperation with Kazakhstan in this fieldnoted Alisher Abdreshev, Leading Expert of the Department of European and American Studies at the Kazakhstan Institute for Strategic Studies.
