9.6 billion tenge allocated for Qyzyljar SEZ development

More than 9.5 billion tenge has been allocated for the development of the Qyzyljar Special Economic Zone (SEZ) in the North Kazakhstan Region. The funds were provided from the Special State Fund. Using the recovered assets, new infrastructure and engineering communications will be built in the area. This will accelerate the launch of 16 investment projects in the food industry, mechanical engineering, and the agro-industrial sector, with a total investment volume of 279 billion tenge. Notably, the Qyzyljar SEZ currently has 20 registered participants, with five projects already launched.

«Work on water supply and storm drainage has already been completed within the SEZ. Construction of railway lines, heating networks, roads, and a drainage system is underway. Telephone lines are also being installed, and landscaping is in progress. The creation of modern infrastructure will provide all the necessary conditions for launching new production facilities and expanding existing enterprises. This will create new jobs for the region and strengthen its industrial potential,» noted Kanat Shamsutdinov, Deputy Head of the Department of Entrepreneurship and Industrial-Innovative Development, Mayor’s Office of the North Kazakhstan region.
