The outgoing year was bright and eventful in culture
and sports. On the global stage, Kazakhstan’s achievements in 2025 drew
unprecedented attention
multiple times. Among the highlights was Dimash Qudaibergen’s
world tour, which showcased his unique artistry and the musical traditions of
the Kazakh people. Interest in the singer continued even after he was appointed
a UN Global Goodwill Ambassador.
Kazakhstan also attracted attention by hosting significant international cultural projects, such as the Silk Way Star vocal competition, featuring 12 participants from various countries. With over 300 million views and broadcasts in nine countries, the project demonstrated how the country is shaping a new media brand for Eurasia.
A significant highlight was the triumph of Kazakh
football - historic performances by our athletes in European competitions and
UEFA Champions League matches united millions of fans and became an important
part of the public agenda for the year. Against this backdrop, domestic cinema
also made a strong mark. In 2025, more than 30 Kazakh films received
prestigious awards at international film festivals in the U.S., Russia, France,
Italy, and China, consolidating the success of Kazakh culture abroad. The Days
of Kazakh Cinema were held in over 15 countries, from the Balkans and Europe to
Singapore and Japan, showcasing the talents of local filmmakers and marking a
new vibrant presence on the world cinema map.
