Kazakh President expresses support for Middle Eastern leaders

Kazakhstan is concerned about the escalating situation in the Middle East. President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev sent personal messages to the leaders of the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait, and to the King of Jordan, presidential advisor and press secretary Aibek Smadiyarov reported. The Head of State expressed sincere support and solidarity with the peoples of these countries and strongly condemned all military actions aimed at undermining the sovereignty and security of states that are friendly and brotherly to Kazakhstan. President Tokayev emphasized that our country consistently advocates resolving all complex international issues and armed conflicts solely through diplomatic means and stated that Kazakhstan is ready to provide any possible assistance to the brotherly Arab countries. He also discussed the situation in the Middle East during a telephone call with the Amir of the State of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, who thanked Kazakhstan for its unwavering support and reaffirmed his country’s commitment to further strengthening bilateral relations. In a telephone conversation with UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Kazakh President conveyed his support and solidarity to the people of the UAE. He expressed regret over the damage to civilian infrastructure during the military attack on the UAE and emphasized that Kazakhstan stands ready to provide assistance, should the need arise. In turn, the UAE President expressed appreciation for Kazakhstan’s support.


The Head of State also held a telephone conversation with the King of Bahrain, expressing his support for the country’s people and voicing concern over missile attacks on civilian infrastructure. Tokayev emphasized that Kazakhstan advocates for de-escalation and a peaceful resolution of the conflict through diplomatic means. In turn, Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa thanked him for the support and reaffirmed his readiness to further develop cooperation with Kazakhstan.
