I believe it is my civic duty, and at such a moment every citizen should take an active stance. For us, this is not just voting, but a responsible participation,» shared Kazakh citizen Zhibek Aidyn.

«Polling station No. 425 in Tokyo began its work at 7 a.m. local time. Voting is currently underway. In accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan, all necessary conditions have been created for our citizens temporarily residing in Japan to exercise their constitutional rights. Today, we expect a high voter turnout, as many of our compatriots, especially young people, have contacted the embassy and registered to take part in the voting,» noted Bakitzhan Suyundikov, Chair of the Precinct Referendum Commission No. 425 in Tokyo, Japan.

Kazakh citizens are voting in China, Singapore, Mongolia, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia, India, Russia, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Georgia, Central Asia, and Pakistan. Saida Zhanpeissova, who has lived in Islamabad for eight years, said she came to the polling station to cast her vote.

«Today I came to the Embassy of Kazakhstan to cast my vote in the referendum on the new Constitution. I see it as my civic duty, even though I am far from my country. In any case, it is both my duty and my personal stance,» said Kazakh citizen Saida Zhanpeissova.
