The new Constitution is expected to serve as a foundation for social development and stronger national unity. Experts discussed this at a public discussion platform in Kyzylorda. Participants asked questions and shared their views on the provisions of the new Constitution. According to the speakers, protecting citizens’ rights and freedoms is one of its key priorities.
«The new Constitution, and the state system as a whole, are founded on human rights and national values. The Preamble clearly enshrines key principles such as sovereignty, independence, and the country’s territorial integrity. In addition, marriage is defined as a voluntary union between a man and a woman. In our view, such provisions will help preserve traditional values,» noted Gulshat Mussayeva, member of the Kyzylorda regional maslikhat.
The key values of the draft Constitution were also discussed in Atyrau. One of the main topics was the new Preamble, which highlights the continuity of the Great Steppe’s thousand-year history. Particular attention was given to preserving historical and cultural heritage, which is also enshrined in the updated Basic Law. Participants also emphasized the special role of the older generation in shaping the country’s future and noted that the new Constitution will give additional impetus to national development and expand opportunities for civic participation.
«Political
reforms affect nearly every sphere of life, including economic stability and
growth, strengthening civil society, improving public administration, and
advancing education and science. Our Constitution must serve as a fair Basic
Law – equal for all, not dividing society, but affirming the principles of
justice and equality,» said political scientist
Saipulla Sapanov.
