More than 40 billion tenge will be allocated for geological exploration in Kazakhstan. The corresponding resolution was signed by Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov. The funds will enable the launch of 20 geological exploration projects, covering an area of nearly 100,000 square kilometers. Aerogeophysical and field surveys are planned for this year, with all projects set to be completed by the end of 2028. Overall, about 240 billion tenge has been earmarked for state geological exploration over a three-year period.
«The allocated funds will be used to carry
out second-generation geological mapping at a scale of 1:50,000 (GS2-50),
covering approximately 100,000 square kilometers. The program includes the use of modern geophysical, remote sensing, and
geochemical research methods, as well as advanced digital data processing. A
preliminary laboratory analysis of the samples will be conducted at the end of the
year,» said Damir Kubenov,
Deputy Chairman of the Geology Committee at the Kazakh Ministry of Industry and
Construction.
