Kazakhstan signs Board of Peace charter

During the signing ceremony of the Charter of the Board of Peace in Davos, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and Donald Trump held a brief conversation. The Akorda press service later commented on the content of the exchange. According to the statement, the Kazakh President drew the U.S. leader’s attention to an official document circulated at the Davos Forum, President Trump’s 365 Wins in 365 Days, which lists Kazakhstan’s accession to the Abraham Accords as the 177th achievement. Tokayev also wished Trump success in pursuing a «common sense» domestic policy. In response, Trump thanked Tokayev for supporting his initiative to establish the Board of Peace. In addition, while in Davos, Tokayev held brief talks with the President and Prime Minister of Armenia, the President of Indonesia, the Executive Chairman of the Institute for Global Change, the U.S. Secretary of Commerce, and the President of FIFA.
