President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev held a telephone conversation with President of the
Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Japarov who congratulated the Head of State on the successful conduct of the nationwide referendum, noting the broad
support for the country’s modernization course. In response, President Tokayev expressed
his gratitude for the support and the participation of observers from the Kyrgyz Republic, emphasizing that
the constitutional reforms are aimed at improving the efficiency of public
administration and the welfare of citizens. The parties also discussed further
strengthening bilateral cooperation and current issues on the international
agenda. Meanwhile, congratulations to the Head of State on the occasion of the
nationwide referendum continue to come from other world leaders. Russian
President Vladimir Putin noted that the constitutional reforms will contribute
to strengthening allied relations and the sustainable development of
Kazakhstan. Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev emphasized that the reforms will
enhance the country’s international authority and reflect the support of the
people. Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev called the adoption of the new
Constitution the beginning of a new stage in the country’s development, while Belarusian leader Aleksandr
Lukashenko described it as a solid foundation for further prosperity and strengthening of statehood. President
of Serbia Aleksandar Vučić highlighted the consistency of the reforms and their
practical results, and Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan noted the
responsible attitude of citizens toward the development of an independent and
rule-of-law state. Congratulations have also been sent by the leadership of the
Organization of Turkic States, the SCO, the CIS, the CSTO, the ECO, and the EEC.
