Kazakh President meets U.S. Ambassador

Strengthening trade and economic partnership and the prospects for investment cooperation between Kazakhstan and the U.S. were discussed by President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev with U.S. Ambassador to Kazakhstan Julie Stufft. The Head of State noted the strong momentum of cooperation between the two countries across a wide range of issues. The Ambassador conveyed words of gratitude and best wishes from President Donald Trump, reaffirming the United States’ commitment to the comprehensive development of an expanded strategic partnership with the country. Julie Stufft positively assessed the political reforms being carried out in the country and wished success in holding a nationwide referendum on the draft new Constitution. The meeting also addressed prospects for cooperation within the Board of Peace.
