Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and Air Astana Chief Executive
Officer Peter Foster discussed issues related to the development of the
aviation industry. The parties focused on the launch of direct air service
between Kazakhstan and the U.S., as well as the acquisition of long-haul
aircraft to operate such flights. The Head of State emphasized the need to
further enhance the competitiveness of the country’s aviation sector.
