Michelle Joseph, winner
of the international project Silk Way Star, has presented a song in Kazakh. Her
composition, BAĞALA, expresses her love for Kazakhstan. Kazakh songwriters and
music producers took part in its creation.
Michelle Joseph is known for her unique style, skillfully blending traditional folk singing with modern genres such as pop, R&B, and funk. Notably, she outperformed 12 artists from different countries to win the Silk Way Star competition. During the project, she performed Kazakh songs several times and spoke about her dream of recording a song in Kazakh. The next season of Silk Way Star will take place in China. The project has been implemented under an agreement between the Kazakh President’s TV and Radio Complex and China Media Group (CMG).
