The Kazakh government
has allocated an additional 7 billion tenge to support grain exports. This
funding was needed due to a strong harvest and rising demand for Kazakh grain
from foreign buyers. The funds will be used to subsidize transportation costs
and encourage shipments to priority international markets. Notably, more than
30 billion tenge had already been allocated from the government’s reserve this
year to subsidize logistics. This support enabled Kazakh products to enter new
export destinations, restore supplies to previously lost markets, and increase
export volumes via alternative routes. As a result, shipments to new and
restored markets have exceeded 2.5 million tonnes.
